Nearly three hundred private FM channels, including fifteen in Andhra Pradesh are likely to come up in the country.

Speaking to the press, the CEO of Prasar Bharati, KS Sarma said that a note on the private FM channels was in Cabinet circulation. On the performance of Prasar Bharati, he said that its income last year both AIR and Doordarshan included was Rs.825 crores.
