As many as 3000 out of 12,300 registered small scale industries in the district are sick and the money blocked is Rs.25 crores according to the General Manger of District Industries Centre, L.Laxman.
Speaking to media in connection with the visit of the Director of Small Industries Services Institute, Hyderabad on Friday, he said that banks were exercising caution while releasing loans for establishment of SSIs as there were many defaulters among the existing units.
