The prime accused in the schoolboy’s kidnap case was arrested after the boy was released and Rs.9 lakhs out of Rs.12 lakhs paid as ransom recovered. One Mr.Suresh was involved in a kidnapping case at Nacharam in Hyderabad and in a pseudo naxal case in the city last year according to the Commissioner of Police, VSK Kaumudi told to press persons on Wednesday.
The City Police who were also in search of four others, including driver of the car that was used for kidnapping, arrested him in Nellore. The boy, Mr.Kaushik was going to the bus stop from his home in Madhuravada last Friday when some unknown persons pushed him into a car. They demanded the father to pay Rs.25 lakhs as ransom for release of the boy. He paid Rs.12 lakhs to the kidnappers without informing the police on Sunday.
The boy was released and he returned home on Monday. Meanwhile, the investigation officer, Ravi Varma arrested Suresh who was watching a movie in a theatre in Nellore. They searched the hotel and recovered the cash.
