The Indian Medical Association of Visakhapatnam chamber has celebrated the Doctors Day at the SPM Lecture Gallery, Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam.
The Celebrations were presided by Dr. LV Raghavarao. Former Mayor and President of Bar Council Dr. DV Subbarao was the Chief guest on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, he praised the doctors for their dedicated service being rendered to the needy and distressed. He felt that, in future Doctors day will be celebrated by the Community rather than by Doctors themselves.
Pledge was taken by Doctors attending the function to rededicate themselves in the pious service of the patients. Dr.AVSS Ramarao, Dr.CS Mangamma, Dr.TL Nair were felicitated on the occasion. In this connection Doctors donated 15 units of Blood as a part of the occasion and the Doctors examined 300 children and medicines were given at Atchurrama Patasala in Relli Veedhi.
