The Police have registered a cheating case against the local franchise of National Institute of Fashion Design. According to complaints received from one K.Srinivas and other financiers, the franchise for NIFD in the city, the latter closed the outlet all of a sudden a month ago allegedly to evade repayment of loan.
The financiers approached the police on Saturday and the police registered a case of cheating and said that Pratap Kumar said to have purchased the franchise for NIFD absconded after taking loan to the tune of Rs.15 lakhs He was also charged with taking a loan from a bank in the name of one of his friends by producing fake documents.
The Two and Three town police stations also received complaints in this regard.
