Tight security in view of Chief Minister's visit to Visakhapatnam
Very tight security arrangements have been made for the Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy's Rajiv Negara Bata in the district on Monday. In view of the face off between the police and naxals following the stalemate in peace talks, the authorities are not taking any chance. The ruling Congress has also made elaborate arrangements to mobilize people for the YSR programmes at Gajuwaka and Anakapalle. He will also launch the work on VUDA's housing project proposed at Madhurawada in the evening. The Chief Minister will arrive at Vikas Nagar near Gajuwaka by a helicopter from Hyderabad at 10.10am. He is scheduled to release water from Siddeswaram reservoir built at a cost of RRs.50 lakhs, distribute sanction orders for taps to white card holders and distribute cheques to SHGs and beneficiaries of Rajiv Yuva Shakti scheme.
He will address municipal ward members at council hall and interact with the officials and residents separately. He will visit Vadlapudi Kalyanamandapam to inaugurate a training centre of fashion technology. After lunch and a press conference at Hilltop guesthouse, he will proceed to Anakapalle by road at 2.25 pm. He had a busy schedule at Anakapalle. He will visit a training centre for women at Pallapuveedhi and visit slums areas at Ambedkar Colony. He will address a public meeting and distribute assets at NTR Market yard at 4.15 pm and interact with senior citizens of Agriculture Research Centre.
