State Government to undertake work on Vamsadhara Phase II

The Uttarandhra Adhayana Vedika has welcomed the decision of the State Government to undertake work on Vamsadhara Phase II at a cost of Rs.850 crores. After a meeting of the Vedika members, the president KS Chalam said on Saturday that the decision of the Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy would go a long way in changing the face of backward Srikakulam district.

Prof.Chalam said that this was long felt need of the farmers of Srikakulam and appreciated the Government’s innovative decision to alter technically the project design and get approval from the Government of India without encountering any problems from Orissa.
