Governor inaugurates VUDA Housing Scheme

197 houses to come up in 14.22 acres

The Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Sushil Kumar Shinde inaugurated the Rs.7.26 crore group housing scheme of the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority at suburban China Mushidivada on Saturday. VUDA has constructed 197 individual houses in the HIG, MIG and LIG categories on 14.22 acres of land amidst picturesque surroundings.

The location of the scheme prompted Mr.Shinde to say in a lighter vein that he felt like owing housing the scheme. The Minister for Commercial Taxes, Konatala Ramakrishna expressed hope that Mr.Shinde with his vast experience in administration would guide the State in its development. He said the Government was thinking of creating townships in suburbs with multistoried buildings.
