Donations to be made to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund and the Chief Minister’s relief Fund

The District Supply Officer has been authorized by the District Collector to receive donations for the tsunami affected. The DSO would receive donations to be made to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund and the Chief Minister’s relief Fund and handed over to the tsunami affected districts according to a press release issued on Saturday. He requested the individuals, voluntary organizations and institutions could be in cash, kind and clothes. The DOS and the DRO would make arrangements to sent the donations the PM’s Relief Fund or the CM’s Relief Fund, the District Collector said in the release.
