High level committee has been constituted
The Government would bring in an enactment on the Simhachalam temple lands in forty days according to the Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Legislature Committee on Assurances, E.Pratap Reddy on Wednesday. During the review of the Devastanam land issue, he told the Executive Officer, V.Sankar Reddy to come to Hyderabad with a comprehensive report so that the Minister for Endowments and others would understand the need to have legislation. He said forming a Lok Adalat for Simhachalam lands would also bring justice to people.
The MLA of Pendurty, T.Gurumurty Reddy wanted a new GO to be issued in the place of existing GO by including the measures acceptable to all sections of the society. The Executive Officer informed the committee that the Devastanam lands were spread over a radius of 36n km and declared that the lands would be fully protected.
