KSR Murthy and as many as 31 scientists were participated

The seven-member team from the Visakhapatnam Regional Center of the National Institute of Oceanography that was part of the first oceanographic expedition to study the Sumatra earthquake and tsunami in Andaman and Nicobar Islands has returned to the city. The expedition carried out at the instance of the Department of Ocean Development in coordination with the Goa based National Center for Antarctic and Ocean Research and NIO utilizing the services of the multi disciplinary ocean research vessel, ORV Sagar Kanya. The team led by KSR Murty and as many as 31 scientists were participated in the expedition.
