VUDA addresses IMax Prison land issue

Estimated at Rs. 10 crores which would be borne by VUDA

The Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) Chairman, P.Suryanarayana Raju addressing his first media conference after taking charge as VUDA chief, said that only four acres of land sprawling area would be utilized towards creating a multiplex theatre complex including an I Max theatre and the rest of the land would be earmarked for a large park and a conventional hall.

He noted that the High Court had stayed the project and said that the assurance on maintaining substantial lung space in the land would be kept. The VUDA Vice-Chairman, D.Varaprasad who was present said that the part would come up on 16 acres, having jogging/walking tracks, greenery with lighting and landscaping. It is estimated at Rs 10 crores which would be borne by VUDA.
