Percapita consumption of stall in the country is 29 kg
Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited may go public issue to fund part of its expansion plan. According to a top RINL official, mobilizing funds from either public or the market would not be a problem as RINL has a good brand name all over the country. After meeting the funding from its internal accruals, borrowing to the tune of Rs. 2000 crores is required for the ambitious expansion plan. He said the percapita consumption of stall in the country is 29 kg against world average of 140 kg. It will go up substantially due to the thrust on large-scale construction activity of Greenfield ports and airports and growing automobile industry.
