Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy to be the chief guest for the valedictory program

The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy will be the chief guest at the valedictory of the Visakha Utsav 2005 on December 28. Speaking at a review meeting of the festival arrangements on Sunday, Commercial Taxes and Excise Minister, Konathala Ramakrishna said that arrangements were being done to make the utsav distinctly different from its earlier ones.

The focus will be on the culture of the city and district, its industrial face and tourism promotion besides its tribal culture and one of the objectives of the utsav is to showcase the tribal culture. He stressed the importance of making elaborate arrangements for people visiting the utsav. Besides, parking, medical help and sanitation at all the stalls necessary information should be made available to them as the Festival would begin on Christmas, related celebrations should be conducted inviting Christian associations.
