Rotary Club of Visakha Port City is observing Anti Corruption Week from December 3 to 9.
Awareness programmes like campaigns on the essence of ethics and human values are being held according to the club president K Venkateswara Rao said to the media on Sunday. He said that the Rotary International had sanctioned a grant of $1320 to the club for conducting Intra Ocular Lens surgeries to poor patients from the district.
The club had distributed notebooks and uniforms to children of Municipal Schools and conducted medical and dental camps in the rural areas during the last four months. He said that the anti corruption campaign was brainchild of A.Rajenda Krishna, who had introduced the concept in Rotary International District 3020. He had coordinated the entire programme in the major towns from Srikakulam to Vijayawada last year.
