Multi Signal Operators (MSOs) and Cable TV operators from the city and district took out a rally to the Collectorate on Friday and raised slogans denouncing intimidatory tactics of the Chennai based Sun Network. The MSOs and cable operators all over the State stopped telecast of Genimi, Teja, Aditya and Teja News channels from December 18 in protest against the Sun Network's decision to make the last two channels also pay channels.
The rally by the operators from the Siti Cable office and concluded in a dharna at the Collectorate. They alleged that the Sun Network was appointing dummy operators and giving them he signal rights in a bid to water down the agitation. Their demands included taking back of the decoders issued to dummy operators, withdrawal of the move to covert Adidya and Teja News into pay channels and appointing an official representative to oversee distribution in the State.
