Nearly 200 villages will be taken up for development under the Integrated Novel Development in Rural Areas and Model Municipal Areas Scheme, christened Indiramma Padhakam, to be launched by the State Government soon. The District Collector, Praveen Prakash directed the officials concerned on Friday to survey, gather the relevant data and submit the same by December 15.
At a review meeting, he said that officials accompanied by ZPTC and MPTC members concerned should hold grama sabhas and based on the views expressed in them, prepare plans for village development.
The plans thus prepared should be computerized in coordination with the mandal development officers and Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad. The plan would be sent to the Principal Secretary for Panchayat Raj.
