The Three day workshop will discuss on recent advances

The Department of Metallurgical Engineering of Andhra University will be hosting a three day workshop to discuss the recent advances made in the areas of micro structure, texture and property relations in close packed metals from Wednesday at Hotel Grand Bay. The local chapter of the Indian Institute of Metals and the New Delhi based Indo-US Science and Technology Forum are associating themselves with the workshop. According to the Head of the Department of Metallurgy NBR Mohana Rao, eminent persons from India and the US will take part in the workshop.

The 25 member Indo-US team will comprise academic experts from universities in the US, Indian Institute of Technology, research laboratories like Bhabha Atomic research Centre and Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory and the US Naval Research Laboratory and representatives of the Industry, he said at a press conference on Tuesday. The workshop will be inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of Andhra University Prof.L Venugopal Reddy.
