Dronamraju Satyanarayana falls ill following failure of both kidneys

Veteran Congress leader of the north coastal Andhra and Visakhapatnam I MLA Dronamraju Satyanarayana fell ill following failure of both his kidneys. Recently he celebrated his 73 birthday. The district administration is making efforts to fly him to Hyderabad for which a special aircraft with medical equipment was being flown here from New Delhi. He was admitted into a corporate hospital soon after his birthday. Minister for Commercial taxes Konatala Ramakrishna, Minister for Marketing Botsa Satyanarayanan and other local leaders and officials were in the hospital and reviewing the situation.

The District Collector, Praveen Prakash said he made calls to several air services from the hospital but to no avail. Air Sahara which arrived from Hyderabad on Sunday morning expressed its inability to remove the seats and create a bed for the patient. A Senior medical officer From Hyderabad arrived by Indian Airlines with medical equipment including ventilators. The Indian Airlines officials removed some seats but hat did not create enough space for ventilators. Later the officials were told that special medically equipped helicopters were available with Air Deccan, Apollo Hospitals and Airmet. One of these helicopters will arrive here on Monday said the District Collector. Hospital sources said that the MLA had been suffering from lung cancer and as a result, the kidneys were also damaged.
