Visakhapatnam, December 19, 2005Hoax Bomb Alert Telephone call creates panic at District Court Complex
The District Court Complex witnessed tense moments for a couple of hours on Monday following a bomb threat to the Family Court. An anonymous caller phoned the Police Control Room around 9.30am and said that a bomb had been planted in the Family Court. The police immediately swung into action and rushed to the court taking sniffer dogs along and conducted a thorough search. Meanwhile, as news spread to other courts located in the complex, people became jittery.
The police heaved a sigh of relief when they did not find any bomb. They concluded that somebody had played a prank. The search was conducted by Two Town Police SSI Dhanunjay Naidu and his team. The courts resumed their business after two hour delay. The police traced the call to a coin box phone located at NAD Kotha Road Junction.
