Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Dharmana Prasada Rao performed the bhoomi puja for the Rs.12 crore temple complex of International Society for Krishna Consciousness on Sunday. Many VIPs attended the function conducted at the two acre site allotted by the State Government at Sagarnagar over looking the sea, Narasannapeta MLA Krishna Das, BSNL General Manager, J.Ganta and sever others were present. The temple compex will be modified version of the Banalore project. It will have mountains and seascape to display distinct identity of Visakhapatnam.Five altars with deities of Radahakrishna, Balaji, Nrisinga Swamy, Sita, Rama, Jagannatha, Balabhadra and Subhadra will be the special attractions. A pond will be built where boat festival will be conducted. A 45 minute boat ride and an underwater meditation hall are also proposed. The Minister said organizations like ISKCON were rendering yeoman service in spreading the message of spiritualism and underlined the need to inculcate spiritualism among children and youngsters. The ISKCON president Samba Das explained their plans.
