Independence Day celebrations were organized by several organizations with pomp and fanfare on Monday.
In Andhra University, the Vice Chancellor, Venugopal Reddy hoisted the flag at the silver jubilee grounds and called upon the students to take an active part in making country self reliant. The Waltair Division of East Coast Railway organized a grand function at Railway stadium.
The DRM SV Arya spelt out their efforts towards customers’ delight. The Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, TV Subba Reddy urged the employees of EPF Organization to safeguard the interest of the nation.
Celebrations were also conducted by the AAI, Vizag Journalist Forum, Andhra Pradesh SC,ST AND BC Minority Forum, Visakhapatnam District Ex-service League and other organizations.
