Short circuit might be the cause of the accident

The fire broke out in the apartment in Balaji Towers near YMCA in the sixth floor and no causalities were reported. The fire broke out when a teenaged girl switched off the TV and went out along with an old lady.

It is stated that short circuit might be the cause of the accident. It is really a tough time for the fire department personnel to control the fire as it happened in the sixth floor and they do not have equipment to fight a fire in high rise buildings. Fire tenders were requisitioned from Peda Gantyada, Marripalem and Port Trust and after a prolonged battle, they could control the fire. No causalities were reported.
