Free darshan and prasadam arrangements for devotees have been made during the ongoing Sri Karakachettu Polamamba festival in Pedawaltair. Announcing this at a press conference here on Saturday, the temple executive officer M.Madusudanarao said that the festival began on March 28th and had reached the most important phase.

Tolellu on Monday and Anupu on Tuesday would be held and the festival would conclude with 'Maruvaram' celebrations on April 13th.

The nominations filed by independent candidates Md.Gufran and his brother Md.Faruk Khan for the Visakhaptnam I constituency were rejected because both were under aged.
