Saukaryam, the pioneering Online facility of the Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation for paying civic taxes, is now a part of the eSeva service being provided by the Department of Information Technology and Communications. According to the VMC sources, this marked more integration of the services of Saukaryam with those of eSeva than any takeover. Saukaryam will now be packaged with the services of major Government departments being offered at 12 eSeva centers that have become operational in the distrist.Services of other departments like Police, Labour, Education, and Weights and Measures and Fire, BSNL and the facility of submission of passport forms are proposed to be added in the next six months.
