May I Help You counter at Regional Passport Office

The Regional Passport Officer Ms. Abhilasha Joshi said that the External Ministry has increased the cost of application of passport only after thorough study. She said that a 'May I Help You' counter was setup at the office to help applicants in filling the application forms. She confirmed that the passport has no 'authorised agents'.

Prof. Y C Simhadri is new VC of AU

Prof. Y C Simhadri took over as the new Vice Chancellor of Andhra University. He took over from Mr. G Sudhir, Secretary of Higher Education who worked as the acting-VC.

BSNL said that there will not be any service charge for calls made below 100 kms. The Servuce charge of Rs. 1 will be levied to all calls made to the '95' series in rural areas and Rs. 2 if the call is made from an urban area.
