Mana TV to be test telecasted on local cable channels

Minister Sri Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy said that the State Television Channel - Mana TV - will be test telecasted on local Cable channels and that possibilities of using a satellite channel was under consideration. He said that prize amount for best journalists will be increased and that efforts were on to award Nandi Award on Ugaadi Day. VUDA Chairman Sri S A Rehman was also present at the press conference.

The Minister for Forests, Environment, Science and Technology, Mr. Ch Ayyanna Patrudu has directed the officials of the Eastern Power Distribution Company to accord priority to water supply schemes in the district in view of summer in a meeting of APEPDCL that was held at district level. The meeting reviewed the 18 point agenda which included power supply situation, energy audit, sealing of meters. District Joint Collector Mr. MT Krishna Babu was also present in the meeting.
There will be power shutdown in some areas on 18 Apr 2002 under Railway New Colony and HB Colony according to a release from the Divisional Electrical Engineer, Sri HY Dora.
