Chairman and Managing Director of Andhra Bank, Mr. B Vasanthan visited Visakhapatnam and inaugurated the first Automatic Teller Machine of the bank at Seethammadhara. He said that 30 ATM's were already installed and work is on to increase the number to 30 by June-end.

A Six-member team from NAAC, Bangalore visited the Andhra University and began evaluating the performance of various Department's at the University. The Committee will be screening through the various modern teaching methods evolved, new projects being undertaken, standards being maintained and cost-benefit quotient etc. The Committee has already visited the Osmania University, Padmavathi Mahila University, Sri Venkateswara University, Hyderabad University and Central University. The NAAC Report will reflect the grade at which the University currently stands.
