Visakhapatnam Steel Plant

Visakhapatnam is popularly called as the Steel City of India and the credit was because of the Vizag Steel Plant - a venture of Ispat Nigam. Vizag Steel has seen many changes during the past few years. At one crisis moment it was about to be sold (rumors say the Tatas would like to buy it) but under the dynamic Chairmanship of BK Panda who took effective management practices, Vizag Steel has come of crisis and marched towards profits. The goal of Vizag Steel is now to become the #1 Steel producer in the region.
