Visakha Music Academy was formed to promote the cause of music in the city. Orissa Maharaj donated the Jaipur Mahal. This was the same place where India's first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru stayed when he visited Visakhapatnam.
In 1930, Sri K Ranga Rao established the Andhra Cine Tone. During the English rule in India, the Garissons Theater was constructed to display English Movies for English soldiers. The Theater established at Poorna Talkies now became Chitralaya. The Vizagpatnam Gaana Sabha was formed at the 1st Floor at Town Hall. It was later moved to the Victoria Queen Diamond Jubilee Hall which was gifted by Bobbili Maharaj The Bharathi Gaana Sabha was established at Sivaramayya College in 1961. |
