Common Entrance Test (AUCET)-2003 & Admission Notification

Applications in the prescribed form are invited for AUCET-2003 for admission into Andhra University (A.U) Campus Colleges, P.G. Centres and affiliated colleges for the academic year 2003-2004 from the candidates who have qualified/are appearing for the annual qualifying examination of 2003, for the following courses through entrance test.

M.Sc.: Statistics, Computer Science & Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics. *Space Physics, Electronics, Materials Science, Nuclear Physics, Meteorology, Physical Oceanography, Marine Geophysics, Hydrology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry (Inorganic, Analytical, Bio-Inorganic, Environmental, Applied Environmental, Organic, Physical, Nuclear, Applied, Industrial, Marine Chemistry and Chemistry & Analysis of Foods, Drugs & Water), Environmental Sciences, Environmental Studies, Botany, Applied Genetics, Zoology, Industrial Fisheries, Aquaculture, Marine Biology and Fisheries. * Coastal Aquaculture & Marine Biotechnology. P.G. Diploma Courses: Instrumentation, Cooperation & Rural Studies, Human Resource Management & Information Technology.

Applications are also invited for admission into the following courses withoutEntrance Test.

M.A. (Music), M.A., (Mridangam), M.Sc., Home Science, M.Ed., Special Education.

P.G. Diploma Courses: Accounting Software, International Business, Functional Hindi & Translation, Yoga, Linguistics, Environmental Management, Plant Biotechnology.

Diploma Courses: Acting (2 years), French, Japanese, Russian, Spoken Hindi, Urdu and Pre-School Education.

The University is also offering M.E/M.Tech. and Diploma courses in Engineering at University campus and some of the affiliated Engineering Colleges. Separate Notification will be issued for these courses by the Principal, College of Engineering, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.

Applications can also be had by post from The Convener, by sending a D.D. for Rs.150/- drawn in favour of “The Convener, AUCET-2003” payable at any Nationalised Bank in Visakhapatnam, along with a self addressed envelope (30 cm. X 20 cm) affixded with Rs.25/- postal stamps. Cheques, Challans, money orders, Postal Orders etc., will not be accepted.

Candidates should submit a separate application for each test or Course without test. The filled-in applications should reach The Convener, AUCET-2003, Vijayanagar Palace, Pedawaltair, L.B. Colony (Post). Visakhapatnam-530017 in person or by registered post before 5:00 PM on 27/03/2003. Applications will also be accepted with fine till 5:00 PM on 03/04/2003.

*All India level Courses-Some seats are available for students of other state Universities.

Note: Mere appearance at the entrance test does not entitle a candidate for admission into the course of study unless the eligibility conditions stipulated by the admitting authority are satisfied.

School of Distance Education offers several P.G. Courses and Diploma courses without AUCET. Separate Notification will be issued by the School of Distance Education.
